By far, P&R Multimedia's most well-known success story is our involvement with the successful Music Factory Entertainment Group, home to Jive Bunny & The Mastermixers, Tidy Trax, Pure Energy and, of course, the famous Mastermix label. With almost 500 mixes and 40 remix albums produced and released, John Faulkner (AKA "Park & Ride" Productions - the original name) has firmly established himself as one of the leading music remix producers in the UK. More recently, we have also been supplying production services to Virgin Radio on the JK & Joel show. What is a remix? Remixes: A remix is simply a way of taking apart a song and putting it back together in a different form. Additional instrumentation can be added to create a different feel. Mashups: A mash-up is where two or more songs have been mixed together to create a unique combination which takes the listener by surprise. When done correctly, the songs used actually complement each other. Grandmasters Series: A "Grandmaster" is a full album length mix which comprises many songs from a particular genre.
